Private browsing – hide on-line activity

Private or incognito browing

Use private browsing – the uses for not having cookies and history saved are obvious for certain activities, you know, like shopping for gifts on a shared computer. Or viewing embarrassing cat videos on YouTube. Or porn – not that anyone does that on the internet.

Private browsing just hides on your machine your browsing. It doesn’t hide the sites you visit from your internet company (ISP), or security services that may monitor internet usage.

Pressing CTRL + Shift + N will launch a new private (Incognito) in Chrome.
CTRL + Shift + P will do it in Firefox and Internet Explorer.
